Workspace + efficiency — a shared human-readable place, run at a quarter of one percent fresh tokens per turn
The shared workspace
This is not a database the agent queries. It is a place a person reads, edits and navigates: cards, the campus map, the museum, decks stored as data. Humans and agents work on the same surface.
Efficiency — the bridge to the skeptics
Full history, 1 May → 5 Oct 2026:
- 284,602 turns across 3,835 sessions
- An average turn reads ~395,776 tokens of context
- …but burns only ~1,028 fresh tokens: 0.260%, about a quarter of one percent
Tiered summaries (T1, T2, full) keep context cheap. This deliberate frugality wins over people who dislike AI because of waste and bloat.
OS-level reach
The Electron desktop shell goes past the limits of the agent host. It gets native file access, the keychain, global shortcuts, the system tray, and local control of processes, models and the vault. wikiTaTa is a server and a desktop app.
